One area of a home build that is often left until last is the electrical plan, however this doesn’t mean it’s not important. A well-planned electrical design is essential to create a home that is as functional as it is beautiful and to ensure it meets your family’s needs for many years to come.
When you have put so much time and careful thought into your home style choices you need great lighting to show them off! It also helps to add warmth, brightness and a sense of comfort so that you can feel at ease in every room no matter what task you are doing.
Power point placement is another part of your electrical plan that deserves careful consideration. With most families owning several digital devices and relying on appliances for everyday tasks, it’s essential to have sufficient access to power.
The Candor Inclusions
We created our standard home inclusions so that our clients don’t need to upgrade for the necessities. At Candor Homes we want your home to meet all your needs, so we include downlights in every room including all the bedrooms. Downlights not only look great but they are low-maintenance, economical and energy efficient. We work with you to determine the best lighting solutions for each room of your house including how many downlights are needed and the best locations for them. And we can give you further options to upgrade your package to include feature lighting if you wish.
Candor’s standard home package also includes enough power points to connect all your appliances, ensuring every room is connected to enough power to serve your family’s needs. Each room is given consideration as to where and how many power points are required and we encourage your input in making those decisions. You can even choose to do a full electrical walkthrough with your electricians and site supervisor onsite during the build so you can review or change the placement of your power points, lights and switches. We want your electrical plan to match your needs from the smallest touch inside to additional lighting outside.
Optional Upgrades
We’re committed to building homes that are fit for purpose for most modern families. We offer flexibility in our designs as we know that everyone is unique and has different needs for their home. If you make any design changes to your plan you may need to incorporate some extra lighting or power points to accommodate the changes in the layout.
Otherwise, your upgrade choices are simply about aesthetics.
